Sony Xperia XZ1 Camera Review

Sony Xperia Xz1 is premium flagship smartphone from Sony. It has 19 MP rear camera with f/2.0 lens. The front selfie camera is 13 MP with f2.0 lens. The software app is amazingly fast and is launched quickly to take great photos. The camera app is almost identical to previous smartphones of company, but have few tweaks. User still have to press button to switch from picture capture mode to video shooting mode. The super slow motion button is within the video recording mode. 4K recording button is it the main camera app and there is no separate app for it as it was in previous Sony phones. Also, there are no heating issues in it as it was in previous devices.

The predictive and other available modes have great functionality. App predicts best shots and can capture 11 frames per second in auto focus. The picture quality is exceptional and even doesn't look like taken from mobile phone camera. Dynamic range is phenomal and colours are also sharp and natural. Its 19 MP lens and photo processing quality results in high quality pictures. Low light photography is fine, but not comparable to high quality of iphone or galaxy s8. In videos, hardware stabilization provides smooth and clear videos.

The super slow motion videos are highlight of camera and are as great it was in xz premium smartphone. It records 960 frames per second and is best slow motion video available in any mobile phone today. The videos can be captured in full HD modes with 30 and 60 frames per second. The steady shot feature is enabled by default and can be used in hd mode. User can switch to selfie camera with button on top right side. Picture quality of front camera have high details and also of great quality. Overall, camera of sony xperia xz1 is great and excellent.
