Comparison of LG V20 and LG V10 Smartphones


LG V20 and V10 have best features and specifications. They both have screen size and resolution of 5.7 inches at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. They both have MIL-STD-810G transit drop compliance and high quality audio performance due to on-board DACs.
Other similarities include 16 MP rear cameras, and 5 MP secondary camera, removable batteries, microSD and fingerprint scanners. However, they have few differences and comparison between these two devices is as following.

The LG V20 is smaller and lighter than the LG V10 despite having a same screen size. LG managed it by maintaining a screen size while shrinking the body around it, so V20 model is handier device as compared to LG V10.

LG V20 screen is also a much better with larger text and notification icons.  V20 has support for 24 character signatures, in comparison to the 14 available on the V10, and also this number changes depending on the font user choose. The second screen on the V20 is also brighter and sharper. The secondary display’s brightness has been around doubled, from 35 nits in the V10 to 68 nits in the LG V20.

V20 has enhanced camera as compared to V10. It has features like SteadyRecord 2.0 and new stabilization technology from Qualcomm. SteadyRecord 2.0 have gyro-based EIS (electronic image stabilization) and image stream analysis-based DIS (digital image stabilization). In LG V10, the hybrid auto-focus combination of laser, PDAF and Contrast AF also provides better speed and highly accurate auto-focus.

LG V20 has 3,200 mAh battery, while V has 3,000 mAh battery. V20 supports Quick Charge 3.0, while V10 only supports Quick Charge 2.0.

In software, Android 7.0 Nougat OS in V20 have a very clean interface, quick application switching, split-screen mode, notifications directly from stock Android and customizable Quick Settings area.

In performance, hexa-core Snapdragon 808 was in V10, the V20 has powerful Snapdragon 820. They have same storage and RAM, but the V20 features Adreno 530 graphics in comparison to Adreno 418 GPU in the LG V10.
